Viva Coro! with Hopkins High School Chorus
Get into the holiday spirit early this year by joining the Oratorio Society of Minnesota and special guest choirs from Hopkins High School for Benjamin Britten’s dramatic St. Nicolas cantata about the life of the man who became known as Santa Claus. Nicolas was far more than the patron saint of children; follow his story as he saves sailors from high seas, becomes a bishop and saves three young boys from a malicious butcher. Local tenor John DeHaan will perform the role of Nicolas.
This concert, accompanied by professional orchestra, will also feature Haydn's Missa Sancti Nicolai and music by Daniel Pinkham.
